New Reno was a player recruitment base built as Chikaree's first base on V in early 2022. It was founded by rzblue, Chikaree, and elibones, and eventually had more than 10 people involved! After getting griefed lightly, it was abandoned due to player inactivity and burnout. Much later, new players TheAntic, ElytraEnderman, Coldpillow, Fabtech22 and B335_ were introduced to the base and established New Reno underground! Eventually, this too was abandoned after internal strife between them.

Some notable builds from Reno: elibones's gigantic villager pit, rzblue's hot air balloon iron farm, Chikaree's mine, the giant LED Reno sign  {{:bases:2024-01-17_14.14.04.png?200|}} {{:bases:2024-01-17_14.13.10.png?200|}}  


Despite some griefing damage, there are still various small farms and a partially intact villager trading hall to use.
Furthermore, some buildings are still in fairly good shape and very amazing to look at. One of the best looking "ruined" base, many builds are almost intact with the years of new players stumbling upon it causing wear and damage.

The base is one of the most beautiful bases on VforVanilla, even in its ruinious state. It attracts many visitors to admire this gem.
