Boxton

Boxton was a spawn base around -500 -1000 where many new players were invited to. It featured a large central castle, a thriving town with many houses, farms and livestock, inns, a slum, and a grand outer wall to protect the townsfolk.
The settlement’s name comes from the original structure the castle was built on top of. The area was desolate except for that of a large cobblestone hollow cube that weary new players could take shelter in before venturing again through the hellish spawn region. Eventually it grew to become a hub for those new players. They developed an official religion known as the Cult of Lux, established by Zyra_Bot, the Pope of Boxton. He and his people held frequent cult meetings within the castle, and player sacrifices took place in the obsidian pit.
The town was griefed and rebuilt multiple times, on a certain occasion it was badly lavacasted so it was decided to rebuild a new Boxton on top of the old one, but this too got griefed eventually
Some notable builds include: the castle, the castle church, the chinese spy balloon, the inn, the airport, the obsidian spire, the sewers, and sewer market
At one point the town was rebuilt using obsidian. People went overboard with the abundance of obsidian from the end farm, and started replacing every block with it, including the trees
Eventually most of the new players present at Boxton either quit the server or moved on to other bases, so the town was abandoned and lays in ruins to this day, with it being so close to spawn. Many withers roam and lavacasts sprung up seemingly every week, for it shall rest in the history of VforVanilla.
